Hammonton, NJ, March 29, 2019. The Historical Society of Hammonton invites the public to a free community program to be held Thursday April 4th 2019, 8:00 PM at the Canoe Club Lake Park, Hammonton. Programs are free, provided as a service to the community. There is no requirement to be a member of HSH to attend. The program is videoed and a copy is placed in our archives.
Speaker for the evening will be HSH member, Earl Cain. Earl was born in Hammonton and grew up living on Bellevue Avenue. He married the former Fran Monahan and have three children and five grandchildren. After attending Rutgers and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania he began his long career in the Information Technology field. Now retired his fascination with the Revolutionary War and family history takes he and his wife to places where” “our ancestors walked” such as Plymouth, Jamestown, Charleston and Cork County Ireland. He is a member of the Sons of the America Revolution, American legion, Atlantic County Veterans Museum and the Batsto Citizens Committee. He is related to just about everyone including former Hammonton Police Chief, John Rubba and the Ford, Crowley, Cramer, Mick and McCormick families.
He will tell his story starting in 1956 and travelling back through time to 1740.
